On the edge of reality
At the calming sea
On the edge of a breakthrough
Deciphering what's true.

There goes gravity
And "meant to be"
There goes me and you
In the oceans blue

I see never ending possibility
Without any guarantee
I see it's time to review
What I thought I knew

Running Away

Another second, hour, day away
Taking a step towards over you
Ignoring memories that replay
Another night I made it through
Scars begin to slowly heal
I begin to see God's Grace
Though this break is not ideal
Another moment to pick up the pace

Searching for a way
To end this dreadful day
The sun has already set
Though the night is not over yet

The razor calls out to me
Promises I can be free
But I know it lies all to well
Restraint is about to fail

Need out of this mess
Away from the stress
I miss my friend
This can't be the end
